ELCOM launches website developed by ESBI Computing

ESBI Computing has recently developed a website for the ESB Customer Complaints Arbitrator (ELCOM) which will allow electricity customers to submit complaints on-line.

The site was required to be accessible to as wide an audience as possible. This involved developing the site to conform to recognized web content accessibility guidelines eg. making the site more accessible to users with disabilities who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers to access the Web.

The site was designed incorporating a variety of techniques to ensure that the correct information was offered to the target audience, was easy to use and provided an alternative mechanism for logging complaints.

The site incorporates an on-line complaint form for ease of use but also offers alternative means for making a complaint such as a printable version of the complaint form and a mailto address for direct response with the ELCOM office.
