ESBI Computing showcase Web & Mobile solutions at GIS Ireland 2003

As one of Ireland's leading GIS players, ESBI Computing participated at the GIS Ireland 2003 conference and trade show held in Dublin on Tuesday, 14th October. The show is an annual event organised by IRLOGI - the Irish Organisation for Geographic Information.

ESBI Computing showcased their web and mobile GIS solutions to the Irish marketplace.

GeoXplorer™ is an off-the-shelf Web GIS application which can be easily and quickly deployed to give all users within an organisation low-cost, easy-to-use access to GIS data. GeoXplorer functionality and data can be simply configured to suit the needs of different types of users from managers to surveyors. The GeoXplorer™ solution is applicable to all industries, from government to commercial organisations. Among the organisations using GeoXplorer™ are Forfás, Cardiff County Council, South East England Regional Assembly, BAA Plc and ESB.

Also on show was GeoMobile - a powerful mobile GIS system which allows users to take their GIS applications off the desktop and into the field using hand held mobile PC devices. GeoMobile gives users the ability to view, capture and verify map and attribute data directly in the field - and then synchronise that data between their mobile PC and desktop PC / office network. The GeoMobile system is in use in a number of Irish local authorities including Galway County Council and Tipperary County Council.
